Scott A. Thompson

I am professional videographer, photographer, writer, magazine editor, and graphic designer from Portland, Oregon. I currently serve as the Director of Communications at Warner Pacific College, where I do all of the above. I also operate my own video production and photography company, specializing in promotional and capital campaign videos. Past clients include Salem (Ore.) Habitat for Humanity and The Salvation Army, Cascade Division. I own a Panasonic DVX100B camera kit, and am fluent in editing programs Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere, and can make my way around Adobe After Effects when time permits. Earlier in my career, I worked as a professor of English as a Foreign Language and incorporated video extensively in my classes. I later spent fifteen months working as a newspaper reporter / photographer until Warner Pacific recruited me in 2001 to revamp its communications efforts. I am happily married to a wonderful writer / poet named Jenna and together we have two funny, imaginative, ambitious, and industrious little boys.
